A quick post to start the new year right!
As a general rule, I tend to favor even-numbered years--why I'm not sure--so I'm looking forward to 2014. Last year had its moments, some really good ones as a matter of fact, but it also had more than its share of...well... odd ones.
I think it's probably the same for all of us. We live from moment to moment, place to place, person to person, and it seems that everything's always in motion, always swirling around in unpredictable ways. As a writer, I think that's one of the things that makes life interesting, if occasionally disconcerting, and worth thinking about and writing about.
So, that's my wish for all of us, a year full of interesting and unpredictable and wonderful--and even disconcerting--moments and places and people and things. Let's count all the blessings and try not to worry too much about the rest. Things will work out. We can write our own happy endings.
I hope all of you who have bought and read "The Glassblower's Apprentice" enjoyed it. I would love to hear from you! Meantime I've been dabbling with something new, too early to tell you much about it, but I promise to work hard on it. Just be patient with me.
The best is yet to come.
I hope all of you have had a wonderful Christmas Season. Happy New Year to all!
